Even though my friend Thunderf00t heaviliy promoted Draw Mohammed Day on YouTube, I wasn't really a fan because I thought the message of the campaign alienated potential allies by being offensive to many Muslims who are also offended by death threats against South Park. I also thought the Draw Mohammed Day message was very susceptible to being spun in a way that missed the real free speech message. Regarding that last point, I saw a Fox News story this week using just the kind of spin I was worried about when the show "America's News HQ" reported on Pakistan lifting a ban on Facebook that resulted from Draw Mohammed Day as I show in this video.
The clips I use of Fox News come from the a segment of the program "America's News HQ" broadcast May 31, 2010 (which I have not been able to find online).
