Former Simpsons writer Larry Doyle's article "The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum," posted in the comedy section of "The Huffington Post," predictably generated controversy, but the coverage of that controversy on Fox News' supposedly straightest of straight news programs, "Special Report with Bret Baier," not only not only cropped out the Comedy heading at the top of the article, but also failed to ever mention the article was posted in the comedy category, and even made it sound like the author only came up with the claim his article was satirical after the fact, as I show in this video.

The clip I use of Shannon Bream comes from a longer segment of Fox News' March 1, 2012, broadcast of "Special Report with Bret Baier," available online at http://bit.ly/ComedyCropped

The image I use of Larry Doyle's February 28, 2012, article "The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum" comes from the Huffington Post page at http://huff.to/AmLgCp

The quote I use of Larry Doyle's February 24, 2012, follow-up article "Dear Catholics: I Am Heartily Sorry, etc." comes from the Huffington Post page at http://huff.to/wfzNXb
